“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.”
- Lisa Olivera

It takes immense courage to find the strength to be raw, vulnerable, and honest with oneself even before embarking on a journey of change. My mission as a counsellor is to be able to provide that safe place for clients to do just that with me, and to support and walk with them on the paths of their choosing without judgement. I believe that everyone has it in them to make decisions that are best for themselves, though we are sometimes clouded by fears, anxiety, or the influence of others. My hope is to be the counsellor whom clients can trust to share their thoughts and feelings, and in that process, allow them to gain clarity, such that they can feel empowered to go in the direction that is right for them.

Other than simply listening, I equip my clients with essential skills to face challenges in a resilient and adaptable manner, so that they can feel confident in tackling whatever life has in store for them. Every client is unique, so I tap on different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), SolutionFocused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness, tailoring them according to each individual’s needs.

Having worked in the corporate setting, followed by several years with children and adolescents with special educational needs, I very much identify with the struggles that working parents face today. My interest is particularly in working with couples, parents, and those on a fertility journey.
