“I strongly believe that life is like a river and when you can allow yourself to go with that flow, it takes you from one to the next almost with no effort.”

I discovered my passion for coaching over 20 years ago when I was promoted into a leadership role and got a coach assigned to shadow my work. It was such a great experience as he offered me so much reflection and space for growth and I deeply wished to be able to support others as well. That’s when I started pursuing my coaching journey.

A few years later I broke both shoulders in a sailing accident and had to undergo several hours of surgery to get them fixed one by one. All in all, I was out of work for 12 consecutive months as the recovery of my shoulders took much longer than anticipated. After another 12 months of intensive physiotherapy and not getting anywhere with my movements, my professor looked at me and said ‘This is it, we did everything possible from a medical point of view. You won’t be able to ever play tennis, badminton or do a handstand in your life again.’ One week later, I turned up in a Qi Gong class and while all other participants were doing a sun salutation with both arms in the air, I was able to move my arms to the front only. Tears of anger and frustration were streaming down my cheeks and the Master came up to me and looked into my eyes and said ‘Your limitation is not in your shoulders, your limitation is in your mind.’ That was the beginning of a completely different journey, one that opened up so much space in my mind and heart. Since then I have been practicing Qi Gong and later, I’ve added so much more through hypnotherapy, yoga, mindfulness, neuroscience, spirituality and energies. It’s an amazing field and combined I call it now ‘Integrative Coaching’.

Through my own experiences I realised how a few (right) words, compassion and listening can change people’s perspectives. When I meet with you, I can offer you my full presence in a safe and confidential environment; in that moment your well-being is paramount to me. And like that river, we flow while I hold the space for you to discover what is needed for healing and direction.
